If you have Water Spots on your vehicle that could not be removed with regular washing then this guide is for you. It is important to understand the differences between Mineral “Etching” and Mineral “Deposit”. This guide is intended to remove the Mineral “Deposit” which is the white residue. If left on long enough, the Mineral “Deposit” will eat into the surface and create “Etching”. “Etching” will require polishing to remove. Think of them as Potholes on the road. No chemical is going to “remove” Potholes.

How To Remove Water Spots / Mineral Deposits:

To simplify the process, it is basically a wipe-on-wipe-off process. Water Spot Remover is an acid that will attack Calcium aggressively. It is still an acid so neutralization is required after. You do not want to use it on the Front Windshield. Front Windshield is Laminated Glass by law. The middle layer of the Windshield has Calcium content and the acid may find its way through rock chips to attack the middle layer, causing distortion resulting in replacing the front Windshield.

  1. Wash the surface with rinseless solution (The Dilution Ratio is on the label.)
  2. Wipe Water Spot Remover onto the surface
  3. Neutralize Water Spot Remover with rinseless solution before moving onto next section
