As a rule, black trims on vehicles are mixed with impurities to save cost by the manufacturers. These impurities will oxidize over time leading to what you see as faded trims. From here, you have 2 options:
- Dressing it black: Dressing are dressing. They are not meant to be something that would last a long time. You will be back to square one after a few washes.
- True Black Trim Restoration: Which is what we also offer to clients who see the benefits of doing it once and it will last for years. We have seen 3 years durability on a well-maintained vehicle that we take care of. Nothing lasts forever but 3 years is a very long time!
